[MIDDLE AGED WHITE-WOMAN ARTIST IN THE 70s VOICE]: well you know you see the thing is about the thing about making art now is just that well you could be the most talented guy in the room you could know how to composit from the jump and edit sequences perfectly and do color correction and all that post shit all in one you can be a guy that has a vision and technique and the truth is just that it doesn’t all really matter that much anymore because well the other guys who you might need to help make your idea a reality well they got a mouth to feed a stomach to fill and toilet to shit in and what do i have to offer certainly not any of those things hell i cant even budget my own groceries myself im so strapped so how can i convince a guy to help me film a shot i think will look really good it just seems so inconsequential in the end anyways so i might as well just up and quit while i’m at it cuz it doesn’t matter but the thing that does matter is the people right the people that surround you that care about you that give a damn about you who maybe might have a thought or two about you friends enemies lovers good thoughts or bad thoughts as long as it is a thought it tethers you to the world you know? it’s a human thing, a very human thing right to just have that kind of existential recognition its very necessary i think spiritually but if you’re searching for this kind of fulfillment in art i-i i mean i don’t know it could be a long road ahead for you is all i’m saying just be careful is all i’m saying coz it’s not easy out here take care of yourself first now you know
